Artist Biography

Growing up in rural Wisconsin I have always enjoyed the great outdoors and photography. I knew at an early age I wanted to make a difference in this world, so after I graduated from North Crawford Schools in Gays Mills Wisconsin.  I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota. So I could spend my life protecting our natural resources. While pursuing my dream of protecting our natural resources I have held jobs in the states of Wisconsin, Minnesota, Washington, California and Colorado chasing my dream of a hold a Permanente job with the state and federal government protecting our natural resources. While i was living in California,   I earned a certificate of completion from Butte College in Oroville California where I discovered my natural talent and a passion of photography. Through my photographic education I was encouraged to venture in the professional world of photography.  I am currently living in Grand Junction, Colorado working as a Biological Science Technician with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in the summer and work on building my photography business in the winter.

I am a Nature and Pet Photographer.   I spend my summers travel and taking pictures of the natural wonder near where I live and I also have been photographing Pets at Pet Smart in Grand Junction, Colorado during their major adoption events throughout the year.  Some of my favorite places  photographic locations are on public land such as national parks, national monuments, national forest, and other protected areas. These areas are special to me because they have unique beauty that is for nowhere else on this planet I have s special connection with these areas and I want share these special places with the world. I hope through my work I can encourage and inspire people to protect the natural resources of the earth for generations to come.

Here are some of the highlights of my photographic career so far. I have had my work accepted in the juried art show at the Florence Events Center in Florence, Oregon. I have won first, and second place ribbons in the Scenic category and the Chamber of Commerce Award, which was published in the Montrose Chamber of Commerce visitors guide for the 2008 tourist season. My work has also been published in the City of Grand Junction calendar and the Wisconsin Bankers Association calendar for 2010. I also had my work on display at three galleries; the Crystal Dolphin Gallery in North Bend, Oregon, Tsamuma Gallery in Gardiner, Oregon, and the Red Bluff Art Gallery in Red Bluff, California.
