I grew up in the small town of Ferryville, Wisconsin along the Mississippi River. My interest in photography started at a young age and the family pet became my favorite subject. Throughout high school, I enjoyed entering photo competitions at the local fair. After graduation from high school, I attended Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota, where I obtained a Bachelors Degree in Biology. I pursued my passion for photography by completing a Certificate program at Butte College in Orville, California.
Throughout my photographic career, I have spent a significant amount of time photographing in California, Oregon, Colorado, and Utah. My passion for hiking, nature, wildlife, biology, and photography has taken me to some of the most beautiful parts of the country. These magnificent places and animals have touched my heart and soul. Through my photography, I hope to inspire people to preserve and protect the natural wonders of the world.
Many of the wildlife pictures on this website were taken at various zoos and aquariums. However, the Elk, Mountain Goats, tide pool invertebrates, seals, seagulls, and the marmot have been photographed in their natural habitat.
